Leo grew up in Falfurrias and comes from a multi-generational ranching family that has ties and land in the family dating back to the original land grants from the Queen of Spain. He graduated high school in Falfurrias and then attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 1996 with a degree in Animal Science.

With over 30 years of agricultural sales experience across four different states, Leo settled down in Harlingen in 2002, where he manages his cattle and hunting ranches. He loves spending quality time with his wife Rebecca and their beautiful family at the ranches. In addition, Leo enjoys fishing, traveling, and attending sporting events and concerts with his family.
